FOOD POISONING IS PREVENTABLE!

Are you looking for a Food Safety Trainer ?

By law, all food handlers require food safety training to a level commensurate with their position and this qualification has to be refreshed as necessary.

Why? Because there are still too many cases of food poisoning causing illness and even death! We all want to enjoy our food and not suffer any aunwanted after-effects!

Fiona Crossley, a registered CIEH trainer with TRiMiST offers you the Level 2 Food Safety course specific to your needs whether you work in catering, retail or manufacturing.

The days course is fun and interactive with the main objective being that all delegates go away with an increased level of understanding of food safety and the prevention of food poisoning and customer complaints. There is a multiple choice questionnaire at the end of the day and successful delegates will receive a certificate from CIEH.

the main areas that the course covers are:

  • An introduction to food safety
  • The law
  • Food safety hazards
  • Temperature control
  • Food handlers
  • Safe food storage
  • Cleaning
  • Food premesis and equipment

Since leaving Univesity with a degree in Food Science, Fiona has had more than 20 years experience in the food industry and has been a trainer for many years. Her career began back in the early 80s working for an Environmental Health Department. Since then she has worked for large scale catering operations (at one time she was the Hygiene Officer for the countrys largest cook-chill plant), food manufacturing and has seen inspections from both sides, i.e. as an inspector and someone being inspected! She has also worked in residential care and understands the needs of this industry.
